This is believed to be an original set which Mr. Wade preserved to avoid them from being destroyed when Dallas County was disposing of old files. This auction offers a unique collection of 12 color slides taken by Phil Willis at Dealey Plaza on the day of President John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963. The slides capture a historical moment that changed the course of American politics and remain a significant part of the nation's cultural heritage. They have been carefully preserved and offer a rare opportunity to own a piece of history. The set includes slides of the motorcade, the shooting, and the aftermath, as well as images of the crowd and the surrounding area. The pictures are clear and of high quality, providing an intimate view of one of the most tragic events in American history.
