Description

From the 1960 United States of America Presidential election, here is a modest collection of two pins and five bumper stickers for the Republican candidates Richard Nixon and Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr. Nixon was the incumbent Vice President having served with Dwight Eisenhower. However, Nixon and Lodge would lose to John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson. Nixon was a native son of California and his presidential library is in Yorba Linda. There are two pins: one that states, "I'm for Nixon" and the other one "I'm for Nixon and Lodge". Both pins are approximately 7/8th inch in diameter. Both pins are in pretty good condition given they are over 63 years old. No areas of obvious rest. The "Nixon and Lodge" pinback has a couple of minor scuffs and scratches. In addition to the two pinbacks, there are five different bumper stickers. One simply states, "Nixon", one that says "Nixon for President", another one says "Nixon Lodge", there is "Democrats for Nixon" and a circular one that states '60 Nixon Now! The four rectangular bumper stickers have folds and creases. One sticker has significant discoloration. The "neon" colors are very bright, unfaded, and eye-catching. The circular sticker has a small paper loss at the very top and has toned over time. Adhesive loss on all stickers reverse. Great political collectibles. There is no reserve price and free shipping within the United States. Receipt of payment is expected within five days unless other arrangements have been agreed to. Inquiries are encouraged.
