Description
For the 1952 Presidential Election, the democrat party candidates were Adlai E. Stephenson of Illinois for President, and Senator John J. Sparkman of Alabama for Vice President. They were pitted against the republican ticket of Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard Nixon for VP. Eisenhower was extremely popular since he was basically in charge of WWII in Europe. The war was still on peoples' minds, since WWII had only been over for 7 years. This is a 10-page (including the covers) booklet for the democrat party candidates. It measures about 5" x 7-1/4". It is in extremely nice condition, considering that it is now about 72 years old!!!! The election did not turn out very close, with Eisenhower-Nixon winning 442 electorial votes vs. 89 for the democrat ticket. Actually, the democrats stood very little chance of winning, since Eisenhower, as the Commanding General of all the allied forces in Europe, had let the allied forces to victory of Germany and it's allies. I have not seen another one of these, and don't expect to, since it's 72 years old. Extremely rare find, and it will not last liong. I have never seen one for sale previously. Any questions, let me know!! NOTE: POSTAGE RATES HAVE INCREASED AGAIN BY THE USPS!!
