Description

First Day of Issue, Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the election of James Buchanan as President of the United States 1856-1956. The 4 stamp block of brown 3 cent stamps/ The stamps show Wheatland, The Home of James Buchanan. The envelope by Art Craft has a picture of President James Buchanan and his home Wheatland, in Lancaster, PA. The stamps are marked "First Day of Issue, Lancaster, PA., August 5 9AM, 1950." I am not a stamp expert, the envelope belonged to my late mother. The envelope looks like it is in acceptable condition, some moisture riffling of the paper. No writing or large spots, no tears. There is age tanning of the envelope. There is a faint erased pencil mark on the back cover of the envelope. The item shown is the item I will ship. It is sold "as is." I am happy to combine shipping on multiple items. Thanks for looking and Happy eBaying!
